ABOUT
Mark Kalen started out as a pipe welder traveling across the US and Alaska. His experience includes X-ray welds on 48″ heavy wall chrome powerhouse pipe, down to fusing 1/8″ OD x .035″ wall stainless semi-conductor tube. His travels led him to Austin, Texas where he decided to settle.
Mark has the heart of an artist and a natural talent for design. His real passion is working with metals, especially tig welding stainless steel. He’s always wanted to build bikes and has some great ideas for a new style of frame. Until that happens, he’s designing and building parts for bikes that are unique. You’re not going to find designs like this anywhere else.
MK parts are referred to as custom because they ARE. That word is tossed around a lot these days but MK’s definition is innovative design and crafting inhouse from start to finish. Mark has the ability to take a design vision and build it into a reality. His eye for detail and dedication to quality is obvious with the end product.
